Multiple trails begin at the parking area, allowing for the exploration of several miles of trails across various terrain. Year-round birds include: Canada Goose, Mourning Dove, Red-shouldered and Red-tailed Hawk, Red-bellied, Downy, Hairy, and Pileated Woodpeckers; Eastern Phoebe, Blue Jay, American Crow, Carolina Chickadee, Tufted Titmouse, White-breasted and Brown-headed Nuthatch, Carolina Wren, Brown Thrasher, Northern Mockingbird, Eastern Towhee, Northern Cardinal, and Eastern Bluebird.
